Issue:
A register may have no icons/ a blank POS screen, where it previously was filled in.
Restarting POS and Computer doesn’t change/ Fix this.
FO Till pad has no buttons/ has been reset to blank.
Also applicable for new registers
Solution:
Copy POS settings from another register that is working and import into register having these issues.
- If a store with multiple registers has only one register not working, then the working register can be copied.
- If All registers aren’t working, the settings can be copied from AU template register, or another working register from another store.
Navigate to BO -> Settings -> Front Office -> Register -> /Register in issue/
From this screen navigate to the POS icon (Looks like a Calculator)
This will bring up the screen to edit the layout of a POS.
From here you can navigate to the “Copy From Register” setting here:
From there you can choose a register that you would like to copy and select the tick button.
The selected register will differ depending on the one you are editing.
- The default register should be able to be used in most scenarios
- However, If a register has specific changes to it, then choosing from the second register in the same store (if applicable) would be the best idea to preserve\ these changes
This will import the register settings from the selected Register into the current one.
NOTE: you may have to restart Y2 FO or the computer in order for this change to take affect.
