Logging levels in Cegid Y2 Front Office and Back Office can be controlled by changing the configuration in their respective program files. This can allow for more detail to be displayed in the log files to aid in troubleshooting.

To set the logging to Verbose mode, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the file cegid.framework.services.cegidconfig in Notepad or your favourite text editor (located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Cegid\Cegid Retail\Cegid Retail Y2 19.0\Front Office\Config for Front Office, and at C:\Program Files (x86)\Cegid\Cegid Retail\Cegid Retail Y2 19.0\Back Office\Config for Back Office – replace 19.0 with your version number, if different).
  2. On line 6 of the file, change level from “Warning” to “Verbose” and ensure enabled is set as “true” (see screenshot below).
  3. Save it.

Caution: this will place more load on the local system, so it is not recommended to be left in Verbose mode on a full-time basis.

The log file for Front Office (eFOS5_SC.log) will be saved at C:\ProgramData\Cegid\eFOS5\, and the log file for Back Office (eBOS5_SC.log) will be saved at C:\ProgramData\Cegid\eBOS5\.
