Purpose
Gift receipts are very useful when a customer buys someone else a present and wishes not to disclose the price paid for the product. The person who receives the present will have a receipt with all usual purchase information except for the price. This kind of receipt can be printed in Cegid Y2 and this document will show how to do so.

Procedure

There are a couple of ways to get a gift receipt that looks similar to this:

1.a - From the till (Front Office > Sales > Enter receipt), click on the button Other actions located in the toolbar at the bottom and select Printing the exchange voucher (to automatically print a gift receipt for the last sale) or Print exchange voucher with line selection (to pick specific lines from the last sale that need to be in the gift receipt).

1.b - If printing with line selection is chosen, the following window will pop up and display the items contained in the last sale. This allows the salesperson to select which items to include in the gift receipt by clicking on the item(s) and then on the arrow highlighted in the screenshot below. Once this is done, click Validate and the gift receipt will be printed.

2. Some stores may have configured a button in the till that makes it easier for the salesperson to access the previous window and print a gift receipt based on the last sale. This button would usually look like the one circled in the following screenshot. In some cases, it could also be a button to print the gift receipt directly, without line selection.

3. Alternatively, if the sale has taken place in the past, the sales receipt can be searched at Front Office > Sales receipts > Sales > Receipt Lookup. In this screen, search and select the receipt which you wish to have a gift receipt printed for, click on the Menu Print button at the top and select Print an exchange voucher with line selection. The same window mentioned in 1.b will pop up.
